The family of 24-year-old Sydney Marquez confirmed on social media that she has been found safe weeks after going missing, according to the Houston Chronicle. Marquez’s sister posted a message on Instagram Thursday thanking supporters for their help, though she did not share further details about her condition or whereabouts.

Marquez, an El Paso native, was last seen on Dec. 11 in the 9100 block of Bellaire Boulevard. Family members told news outlets she may have been experiencing a mental health episode at the time. Her vehicle was discovered abandoned the same day. Marquez had been visiting friends in Houston, and authorities including Houston police, Texas Equusearch, and advocacy groups like FIEL participated in the search effort, KPRC reported.
