Senate Concurs On Voucher Changes, Sending Bill To Abbott

The Texas Senate on Thursday afternoon concurred with the House’s changes to its private school voucher bill, voting 19-12 to send the measure to the governor, according to the Quorum Report.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott has signaled that he will sign it into law.

“School choice has come to Texas,” declared Lt. Gov. Patrick.
