Senate

Both Sen. Eckhardt and Sen. Guiterrez, the first a former Travis County Judge and the latter a former state representative are on the same Senate committees: Local Government, Nominations, Veteran Affairs & Border Security, and Water, Agriculture & Rural Affairs.

Sen. Blanco, also a former state representative is on Health and Human Services, Higher Education, Transportation, and Veterans Affairs & Border Security.

Sen. Springer who won his senate seat after a highly publicized runoff with Dallas salon owner Shelley Luther sits on Higher Education, Nominations, Local Government, and Water, Agriculture & Rural Affairs. He is the only freshman legislator to be given a vice chairmanship which he was named for Water, Agriculture & Rural Affairs.
