Travis Scott spent the holiday weekend in Houston hosting community events focused on local families and students, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Families flocked to Texas Southern University for the rapper’s sixth annual Winter Wonderland Park Toy and Food Drive, collecting toys, blankets, and food items. Children bounced in inflatable houses and took photos with Santa Claus, while a pop-up Cactus Jack Space Village offered limited-edition merchandise and information on scholarships and career programs.

Scott’s sister, Jordan Webster, who leads education initiatives for the Cactus Jack Foundation, joined in distributing gifts. “Houston is where we grew up. We’ve been in this community all our lives. To be able to give back and touch the same people that helped and shape us is a no-brainer,” Webster said.

The holiday weekend also highlighted the Cactus Jack Design Center, with Houston ISD students presenting projects at Space Center Houston on Friday. Over eight weeks, students collaborated with NASA engineers on everything from coding to hands-on fabrication. Projects like lunar rovers and water filtration systems were displayed at both the showcase and the toy drive, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Addressing students, Scott encouraged them to build broad skill sets across creative and technical fields. “Whether you want to be an astronaut, or want to make clothes… learn the ins and outs of everything that you do,” he said.
