This Saturday will be the first-ever Texas Carnivorous Plant Show, Sale & Swap, organized by PetFlyTrap.com, perfect for enthusiasts and people curious about carnivorous plants.
This event will take place at Track Shack Ice House, located at 25811 W. Hardy Rd. in Spring, on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Texas Carnivorous Plant Show, Sale & Swap is totally free and open to the public. There will be educational displays of carnivorous plants and people selling or swapping their carnivorous plants. The event promises that it will be a fun and educational opportunity for all ages and experience levels.
The educational talks are focused on a general overview of carnivorous plants, plants and biodiversity and on how to cultivate carnivorous plants in your own indoor environment at home.
Parking and entrance to the event is free, but the event organizers said that Track Shack requested that no outside food or drinks be brought in, so the attendees can support the pavilion with food purchases.
This will be the first event of its kind in Texas, and there is no plan of doing it at any other date or place. Event organizers said that they will see how well this event goes and, if people seem interested, they will create more events.
