Austin lives it up as No. 7 most fun American city in new list

Austin is making its way to be one of the best cities in the US, some weeks ago the city was ranked as the most festive in the country, and now, it has been ranked as the No. 7 most fun city in the US!

A new study conducted by WalletHub, compared 182 U.S. cities across 65 metrics to determine the most fun cities in the country. The metrics range from fitness centers per capita to movie costs to the average business hours of breweries.

With plenty of things to do in the city, like festivals, restaurants, museums, parks and bars, Austin got the No. 7 spot, surpassing cities like New York or Chicago.

The study groups the 65 metrics into 3 big categories: Entertainment & Recreation, which includes things like attractions, coffees, playgrounds, and other stuff; Nightlife & Parties, including bar accessibility, beer gardens, casinos, etc; and Costs, which weighs the cost of things such as hotels, movies, beer, and food.

Where Austin excels is in its nightlife, also ranking in the seventh spot, but it was ranked as an expensive city, and that does not have a lot of entertainment attractions per capita.

Still, Austin is a great place to have fun and to go out with friends or by yourself to some park or museums.

The complete top 10 of the study is:

  1. Las Vegas, Nevada
  2. Orlando, Florida
  3. Miami, Florida
  4. Atlanta, Georgia
  5. San Francisco, California
  6. New Orleans, Louisiana
  7. Austin, Texas
  8. Chicago, Illinois
  9. Honolulu, Hawaii
  10. New York City, New York

You definitely must visit one of these cities someday.
